Terms of Service

Last updated 11 August 2026

InventWork is a private preview service. These terms are a plain-language starting point covering what InventWork does and what you are paying for. They have not been reviewed by a solicitor — check them before relying on them for a live, paying product.

1. What InventWork is

InventWork is a web tool that helps you explore possible future work directions. You choose a UK location, future-need areas (for example Net Zero, AI & Digital, or Clean Energy), role propositions and organisations to research. InventWork combines these choices with publicly available government and Companies House information to generate role ideas, an editable cover-letter draft and a downloadable PDF pack.

InventWork does not find you a job, does not contact employers on your behalf, and does not guarantee employment or interviews. It is a research and self-presentation tool.

2. Payment

Generating a PDF pack is a single, one-off purchase processed securely by Stripe. InventWork does not store your card details. Payment is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.

Because the pack is generated specifically for the choices you make, it is treated as a digital product delivered immediately on completion. Once your pack has been generated and made available to download, the purchase is final, except as set out in the Refunds section below.

3. Refunds

If your pack fails to generate, or is clearly broken (for example, missing pages or content that does not match what you selected), contact us at chrisjhowitt@gmail.com within 14 days and we will fix the issue or refund the payment. Refunds are not available simply because you changed your mind about role or location choices after a working pack was delivered — you can already adjust those before you generate the pack.

4. Accuracy of information

Local evidence, organisation shortlists and role descriptions are produced from public sources (such as gov.uk publications and the Companies House register) and, where noted, AI-assisted writing. InventWork checks that sources are official where possible, but it cannot guarantee that every fact, organisation listing or role description is current, complete or error-free. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on before contacting an employer or making decisions based on it.

5. Your account and content

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure. The choices, drafts and packs you create belong to you — InventWork does not claim ownership over them and does not share them with employers or third parties without your action (for example, choosing to send or download a pack yourself).

6. Acceptable use

Please don’t use InventWork to submit false information about yourself or others, to scrape or resell the service’s data, or to attempt to disrupt or bypass its security. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

7. Service availability

InventWork is a private preview. Features, role catalogues and future-need areas may change, and the service may be unavailable at times for maintenance. We’ll try to give notice of significant changes where practical.

8. Liability

InventWork is provided as a research aid. To the fullest extent permitted by law, InventWork is not liable for employment decisions, missed opportunities, or losses arising from information in a generated pack being incomplete or out of date. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud.

9. Contact

Questions about these terms: chrisjhowitt@gmail.com, or write to us at 22 Cairo Street, Warrington WA1 1EH.

Registered business details (company name, number and address) will be added here before this leaves private preview.
